My husband and I are blessed to have amazing friends and family. It’s ridiculous how amazing they are, so we had a really difficult time choosing just a select few. We were particularly heart broken to hear that my best friend wouldn’t be able to make it at the last minute because she was stuck in Korea. Michelle, I love you… and Justin too! We’re missing two very important people in these photos. We had to make adjustments and that really stunk, but things worked out in the end.
The bridesmaids:
My twin sisters, my best friend from college, and very close family friend (practically a sister).
These ladies are gorgeous, aren’t they?! I chose to have the girls pick whatever dress they wanted in navy blue that flattered their figures the best. I think they really appreciated the fact that they could shop for something they love versus something everyone would look “decent” in. Happy bridesmaids = happy bride.
The groomsmen:
Childhood, high school, and college friends as well as one of his former shipmates.
These pictures pretty much depict how they are. Fun loving, not serious, and willing to look like complete goofballs and not think twice… and I love it! They had more formal photos together, but these are our favorites by far.
We kept it simple with the guys and told them to wear whatever black suits they wanted with a white shirt because every man should have a black suit… right? I picked up a few matching ties and called it good.
We had such a good time together that most of the portraits of Philip and I together are of us laughing or trying to keep a straight face. The commentary and conversation of our bridal party was just way too hilarious for us to not keep it together. I love that about them.
We never had to do a “pretend” laugh because we were genuinely having such a good time together. We are so grateful that they could be a part of our big day because it just wouldn’t have been half as fun without them. Love you all!
