Our key hook area was looking a little drab, something a little art couldn’t fix. Worked a little Photoshop magic and used free clipart from the Graphics Fairy.
I picked up the frame from the thrift store ages ago and the skeleton key is from Michael’s dollar section. I snagged up a bunch of these beauties because I figured I’d have a place for them eventually. Well, today was the day one of those babies was going to meet my glue gun.
This was the first time I didn’t paint a frame from the thrift store. I hear gold is making it’s way back…. or maybe I just said that to justify my laziness in not painting the darn thing. Either way, I’m rooting for the former, especially since I love the way it looks by my front door.
I made a printable with the key clipart for those of you who don’t have a random skeleton key hoarding obsession (you really should, it’s great). Just right click the image you want and open it in a new tab to save or print.

I printed it on a very heavy cardstock and hot glued it directly on it. I haven't have a problem. You could probably get a single sheet at the craft store. Hope that helps!
Love this idea! I just printed the printable, and I have a skeleton key… I was just wondering how you attached the key to the print? Did you just glue it straight to the paper and not use the glass in the frame. I'm worried the key will be too heavy to attach to the paper… :\
So cute! I'll be featuring these over on my blog this afternoon. Hope you have a great Valentine's Day.

I'd love to add it to my blog..but not sure how to. Thanks!
