Inside My Camera Bag

Sorry this post is going up at night and not during an appropriate daytime hour.  I was too busy shopping at Homegoods all day and using gift cards to fulfill my need for organization.  Got myself a canvas lined chicken wire basket, amazing new tupperware , and an entirely new set of canisters for my kitchen counters. Very happy girl.

You’re not here to read about my home décor adventures, although I’m sure you love to go shopping for your home as much as I do. You’re here to read about camera related goodies.  Philip got me a DSLR camera last year on Cyber Monday.  I had been talking about purchasing one for years, but between moving, a new baby, and planning a large vow renewal, a DSLR wasn’t going to make it into our budget.  Well, somehow we were able to get an INSANELY awesome deal on my Canon Rebel and we paid for it with cash we had on hand.  I have never loved taking photos as much as I do with my DSLR.

Thankfully my girlfriend also has a Canon Rebel and the same lenses as I do so I could take pictures of my camera loot.  So far I only have the kit lens (18-5mm) and a 50mm prime, but I’ve been eyeballing a few others.  If any of you have Canon lenses that you absolutely love, let me know what you have.  I’d love to start putting lenses onto my wishlist.

I had been keeping my camera in a very ugly, but functional camera case.  It only fit the body without the lens attached and the lens next to it.  A pain in the rear and ugly, bad combination.  So Philip got me a few camera accessories and this bag that I absolutely love almost as much as my camera for our anniversary.

I love that it’s a messenger style bag, the color and the amount of space inside.  This bag can hold a lot for not being a professional style camera bag and has extra pockets in the front and back.  I carry my wallet, camera gear, several sd cards, my phone, lip gloss, and keys with plenty of room to spare.

Got the bag {here}.  I love that it was super affordable, made from the best faux leather I’ve ever seen, and that the stitching makes this bag extra durable.  Love my bag.  I also love the camera strap cover my newest sponsor Amanda from Some Beautiful Things sent me .  She does custom initial monogramming and the covers even have a place for you to put your lens cap in.  Genius!

No more lost lens caps or ugly camera straps for me!  Amanda is even offering CCM readers a 15% off discount to her shop.  Just enter in the coupon code: craftcrazymom during checkout.

Do any of you have any camera goodies you just can’t live without?

  1. I love that bag! I am using messenger-style mom bag now, but the day I no longer need to carry mom bag, I am getting this camera bag!
