For those of you who don’t know, I do a little freelance design work on the side for other bloggers. I’m extremely grateful to be able to work from home at hours that work best for my family. The only downside to this is that I’m constantly getting the itch to redesign my blog. Yesterday I finished up a design package for a client earlier than expected, so I figured I’d just go ahead and switch things up a little bit.
I’m a list maker by nature and like to have things planned out, but whenever inspiration hits me I literally drop whatever I’m doing so the moment doesn’t slip by… or if I can’t, I have to write it all down so I don’t forget. I can also be impatient, so I like to get things done quickly. My husband says I get tunnel vision and that I have a one track mind. Sometimes even borderline obsessive. This time those things worked out in my favor and helped me knock out a project for myself in record time.
I think the new design suites me much better than the last. I’ve gotten pretty fast lately, so I had the entire thing designed and coded during V’s nap. I’m loving it!
What do you think of the new look?
On a side note, Vanessa has also been busy with some artsy fartsy stuff. It includes coloring the walls (notice the wall behind her?), drawing and painting. The girl is obsessed… and messy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
